Install the connector

The connector is the small desktop app that talks to your database. Your credentials are entered there and stay on your machine — they are never sent to our servers, which is the whole point of it existing.

After it installs

  1. 01Open your dashboard and go to Connector. It shows a one-time pairing code.
  2. 02Launch the desktop app and paste that code. The two link instantly.
  3. 03Enter your database credentials in the desktop app, then drive everything from the dashboard.

First launch

The macOS build is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other app. The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen still steps in the first time — nothing is wrong, the certificate is on the way.

  • Windows: on the blue “protected your PC” screen, choose More info → Run anyway.
  • macOS: open it normally. No right-click trick, no security settings detour.
  • Linux: mark the AppImage executable (chmod +x) before running it.

Once installed, the app updates itself — you only download it this one time.
